Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
You will depart by road for Amboseli National Park, either via Mombasa Road and onto Emali-Loitokitok Road or from Mombasa Road onto Namanga Road. Both routes will feature smooth tarmac roads and all-weather roads. You'll arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Park is situated south of Nairobi. Most of the park consists of a dry, ancient lake bed (Lake Amboseli) and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland. In the southern area, there are several small, rocky volcanic hills. During the wet season, the vegetation is lush, with yellow-barked acacias and phoenix palms surrounding the swamps of Ol Kenya and Enkongo Narok. Here, you are guaranteed to see at least a wide variety of herbivores as they graze and drink to their fill.
Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at the Kibo Safari Camp.
