Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver-guide, who will transfer you to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Tarangire, one of Africa’s hidden gems, is perfect for lovers of wilderness and solitude. Named after the Tarangire River, the park’s sole dry-season water source, it features ancient baobab trees—believed by the Maasai to be the first tree in creation—and giant termite mounds. After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up and drive to the park for a full-day game drive. If you love animals then Serengeti is a good place to be. Here you will find the real Mufasa, Nala, Simba and Scar, thanks to the Disney film “The Lion King”. Around 3,000 lions are living in the Serengeti ecosystem. They are relatively easy to spot not just because of their numbers but also because they like to loll about for hours each day under the trees. Lions can move around about 20 hours a day. The Serengeti also has bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, birds like the kori bustard, Fischer’s and many others. Later in the evening, you will drive to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drives in Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up for a game drive en route north to witness first and famously foremost: seeing the world's most fascinating animals. On the way, you will spot other animals like giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs and many others. You'll arrive north in the afternoon, set off for lunch, and then head toward Mara River to witness the river crossing. The annual wildebeest migration in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most impressive natural events in the world. Later in the evening when the sun sets, you will make your way towards your tented lodge which is located not far from the river for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will go for a full-day game drive in Northern Serengeti. If yesterday you didn’t get an opportunity to witness the crossing, then today you will head again to the river. You will continue your focus on the Great Migration as you delve deeper into this experience spending a whole day by the Mara River. As the afternoon begins to end, you will head toward your accommodation, for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Fly Out from Kogatende to Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver guide and dropped off at Kogatende Airstrip your flight departs at 10:15 am and arrive in Zanzibar at 2:20 pm. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be picked up and driven to your beach hotel for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
