Explore the vast and diverse Selous Game Reserve, home to incredible wildlife and pristine nature. Look out for the renowned African wild dogs while our expert guide reveals the secrets of this remarkable ecosystem. Enjoy a bush lunch with breathtaking wildlife views. As the sun sets, return to your lodge on Rufiji riverbank for a delightful dinner and a cozy overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive

After a full breakfast, you will depart with packed lunch and drinks then you will drive into the vast Nyerere National Park to explore the diverse wildlife and undisturbed nature for a full day. Countless elephants and buffaloes, prides of lions, giraffes, zebras and impalas are quite common. Selous is also quite famous for having many African wild dogs compared to any national park in Tanzania. You will enjoy a bush lunch from a safe vantage point with a beautiful scenery and keeping an eye out for wildlife in their natural habitat. You’ll then continue with the afternoon game drive. Later at around 5 pm you’ll begin your drive back to the lodge for scrumptious dinner and an overnight.

Boat Safari & Village Tour & Departure to Zanzibar

You will get up early for a little coffee or tea then you will depart the lodge for a sunrise Boat Safari along the Great Rufiji River. The cruise normally lasts for about 2 hours. Awesome views of hippos growling, crocodiles basking on the banks and the abundant birdlife will spice up your spectacular dawn. After the Boat Safari you’ll be transferred back to the lodge for your full breakfast. Later at 10:00Am you’ll leave for an eye opening cultural village tour for approximately 2 hours then you will head back to the lodge for your afternoon lunch and you will have ample time to relax. Later in the afternoon you’ll check out and be transferred to Mtemere airstrip for departure for you scheduled flight at 4:00Pm back to Zanzibar.
