1-Day Safari to Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hosprings

In the morning after breakfast, you will depart from the hotel and drive to Materuni Waterfalls, arrive at Materuni village situated at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local traditions and customs of the Chagga people. Additionally, you will visit a coffee farm, where you can pick coffee beans and participate in the preparation of your own locally brewed strong coffee

Following the coffee experience, you will embark on a 30-minute hike to reach Materuni Waterfalls. These magnificent falls cascade down from a height of about 80 meters, and they are fed by the freshwater drainage originating from Mount Kilimanjaro.

After the tour, a picnic lunch will be provided, then before proceeding to Kikuletwa (Chemka) hot spring. The small pond is surrounded by palm and fig trees with winding roots and the crystal clear, turquoise water invites you to a refreshing bath.

In the late afternoon we proceed to Airport or to Arusha town.
