Upon arrival at the airport, a Fauna Safaris Representative will welcome you and provide a briefing on your safari. From Nairobi, you will be picked up—either from your hotel or directly from the airport—and set off for Lake Nakuru National Park in a 4x4 custom Land Cruiser. The scenic three‑hour drive takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, offering panoramic views along the way. You will arrive at the park just in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive, spotting over 400 wildlife species including black and white rhinos. Dinner and overnight stay await at your camp/lodge.

Exploring Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast you will proceed for the morning drive at the park. Lake Nakuru is known for its prolific bird species including the flamingoes and pelicans. The park also hosts a sanctuary for over 150 rhinos with over 30 black rhinos and a majority being white species. You will have a stop-over at the Lions Hills for a picnic lunch before resuming your afternoon and evening drive till dusk. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your camp/lodge.

Day 3

Today, you will have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast you will depart Lake Nakuru National Park for the great Masai Mara. You will have an en-route lunch on your way to Masai Mara. The drive also provides magnificent views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival in Masai Mara you will have an en-route game drive as you drive towards your place of accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your camp/lodge.

After breakfast, you will go for a full day game drive exploring the captivating landscapes and grassland of the great Masai Mara. Masai Mara National Reserve is the best park for game viewing in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close-range viewing and photography. You will be under the guidance of a professional tour guide to help you track the various animals and birds at the park. You will the return to your camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast you will check out of the camp/lodge before going on a game drive with the focus of today being the wildebeest annual migration across the Mara River. The wildebeest migration is an annual phenomenon between June and September with over 1.5 million wildebeests and other animals such as zebras cross the Mara river in search of pastures. After viewing of the great migration you will depart for Lake Naivasha. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Sawela Lodges.

After an early breakfast, your adventure begins along the scenic shores of Lake Naivasha, a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers. The lake’s surroundings host giraffes, zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and hippos, all easily spotted in their natural habitat. A boat safari offers close encounters with hippos and flamingoes, while the lake itself boasts over 400 bird species, with pink flamingoes creating a spectacular backdrop. Following a picnic lunch and a short rest, you will continue to Crescent Island, where guided safari walks bring you face‑to‑face with giraffes and zebras. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Sawela Lodge.

Day 7

Hells Gate and departure for Nairobi

Hells Gate and departure for Nairobi

After breakfast and checkout at Sawela Lodges, you will depart for a short tour at Hells Gate national park. Hells Gate is located between the volcanoes of Suswa and Longonot and rhinos can be spotted far away in Lake Nakuru national park. Pink lining of flamingoes along lake Naivasha can also be seen from a far. Buffaloes and other small mammals such as Zebras and gazelles can also be spotted in game drives and guided safari walks. Hell’s gate is also a great destination for outdoors activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking. You will then depart for Nairobi late in the afternoon to mark the end of your safari.
