Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

You will depart early from your accommodation in Dar es Salaam, as it takes about 5-6 hours to reach the park. You'll enjoy the scenic drive through rural areas and small towns, witnessing the everyday life of Tanzanians. You can make short stops along the way to stretch your legs or have a quick snack.

You will arrive at the park. A late afternoon boat safari will follow, and visitors have the opportunity to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of bird species.

The boat safaris also offer the opportunity to enjoy stunning scenery and breathtaking sunsets over the river. It is a peaceful and tranquil experience, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the park. Dinner and overnight at Mloka Safari Lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park. You'll explore different areas of the park and search for wild animals. You'll stop for a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African savannah. You'll continue the game drive in the afternoon, visiting different areas of the park and maximizing your chances of spotting wildlife. You'l return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Nyerere to Dar es Salaam

Enjoy a guided morning nature walk in the stunning Nyerere National Park ecosystem, along the Rufiji River. Discover animal tracks, unique plants, and birdlife—wonders often missed during a drive. After about three hours exploring the bush on foot, return to the lodge for breakfast. Later, you'll transfer back to Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
