Day 1

Arrival in Etosha National Park

Arrival in Etosha National Park

Welcome to Namibia! After a hopefully relaxed flight, you'll have arrived in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia. After that, you will be transferred to the car rental company, where you will receive your rental car. After a detailed briefing, it's finally time to get started. Today you will drive to the north and start your trip off with a drive towards Etosha National Park. On the almost 4-hour drive, you can stop in Otjiwarongo for a coffee and some snacks. The Bohemia Book Shop Café is recommended, they offer sandwiches and cake in a cosy atmosphere.

If you arrive early enough, you could even spend this afternoon in Etosha National Park. Etosha National Park sets the scene for Namibia’s foremost wildlife showcase. Here, a series of waterholes guarantee spectacular game viewing, flanked by mystical, open grasslands along the edges of the inhospitable Etosha Pan. Your day will end with a delicious meal in the relaxing atmosphere of the lodge.

Explore Etosha National Park

Today is spent on a safari! It is recommended to start early in the morning to have the best chance to spot animals just after sunrise. With a bit of luck, you might be able to see lions, hyenas, elephants, rhinos, and more today! But the other animals of Etosha Park should not be underestimated either. Huge herds of zebras, wildebeests, and springboks roam the area, coming surprisingly close to the safari cars. After an interesting and exhausting day in the bush, you will go back to the lodge to rewind with a G&T on the sundowner deck.
