Day 1

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

You will be picked up from the airport with a briefing by your guide-driver. You will be driven north past the equator to the Northern Frontier district. You will continue to the semi-arid Samburu National Reserve and check in at your campsite. You will have lunch at the lodge. There will be time to settle in before your safari adventure in the afternoon. You will set out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. You'll enjoy twice-daily game drives where you will see huge and majestic elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs, and all of the "Special Five’" which include the beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk antelope, and Somali ostrich.

In the hot and arid lowlands of the Northern districts of Kenya, featuring doum palms and over 450 species of birds, there are interesting experiences to keep you fascinated over the next day or two. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at your camp/lodge.

You will set out for an early morning game drive in the Samburu Reserve for the whole day. The morning is usually the most popular game-viewing time. During the early hours, the temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal—it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small animal like a warthog. The spectacle of nature unfolding is always amazing to watch from the pop-up roof. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp/lodge.

Day 3

You will have an early breakfast at the camp after your morning game drive. Then, you will drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for the game drives. The park is surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. It is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnics, and viewing the endangered black rhinos.

Thereafter, you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

You will check out and drive via Narok town to Masai Mara National Reserve, the land of the Maasai community. The proud young Maasai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears, challenge your curiosity. The 700-square-mile reserve is the Africa of your dreams, with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. You will check in at your lodge and have lunch. There will be time to settle in before your first afternoon game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the reserve. You will return to the lodge before dark for dinner and your overnight stay.

Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will have a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve—lunch will be a picnic. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions and abundant wildlife. This is one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under vehicles. Several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey!
For bird enthusiasts, there are almost 500 species that have been recorded here. Among these include 16 species of eagle, many hawks and falcons, six species of vultures, eight species of storks, four species of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and nine species of sunbirds.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a campsite or lodge.
We can plan an optional visit to a Masai village after breakfast. Alternatively, you can go on a hot air balloon ride.

Day 6

You will have an early breakfast at the lodge. Then, you will drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch.
Later on, you will proceed for the afternoon boat ride which is optional at an extra cost, and walk at Crescent Island. This is the only park in Kenya where one can cycle or walk while seeing the animals. There are many activities you can do in Hell’s Gate including walking, cycling, rock climbing, bird watching, and trekking through the gorge amongst the geysers, the choice is yours. Later, you will proceed to the hotel for check-in and relaxation.
You will have dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge/camp.

You will depart for Amboseli via Nairobi after breakfast and drive south through Maasai land to the plains below Mount Kilimanjaro where Amboseli is situated. After an en-route picnic lunch with the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, you will enjoy the spectacular displays of wildlife like lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, buffalos, and various plains game. Postcard-perfect pictures are almost always guaranteed. Finally, you will return to Sentrim Amboseli Lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

You will have an early morning game drive then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you will proceed with a full-day game drive in the park with a packed lunch. You'll be in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their prey such as zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and hippos—with a view of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will spend the full day in Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. This park is termed an animal's paradise. Later, you will return to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
