Day 1

Our company guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and embark on the journey to Kibale Forest National Park. As you start your Uganda safari, prepare to take photos of Uganda’s beautiful and green countryside along the way. You will have lunch at Fort Portal town and have time to stretch your muscles, preparing for more adventurous days ahead.
Fort Portal is a small town located in an area with a perfect climate which results in beautiful scenery. The town remains green all year round.

Day 2
Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi walk
Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi walk
After an early breakfast, you will head for a briefing at the Kibale National Park offices regarding the rules and requirements while tracking chimpanzees. After the briefing, the guide will lead you into the forest to find the primates. The trekking in Kibale Forest takes between 2 and 5 hours. It is a different experience from gorilla trekking because chimps are more vocal and love to spend time on top of trees. They are also more mobile and might require that you follow them for a long time before they settle down to allow for good photography.
You will return to your hotel for lunch and rest. Later in the evening, you will go for a walk around one of the most spectacular spots for bird watching. Along your way, you will spot other primates and several bird species.

Day 3
Head for Queen Elizabeth National Park
Head for Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, the guide-driver will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Kasese district. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of flora with different species, take pictures and enjoy the trip through spectacular sceneries with a clear view of the Rwenzori Mountains seated in the distance. Check in at the lodge and get ready for an afternoon game drive with our experienced guide. You will be driven to the most popular spots with a high concentration of wildlife.

Day 4
Second game drive and boat cruise

You will wake up early to have breakfast and get ready for a long, eventful day. The guide will take you for an early morning game drive at the Kasenyi plains with the purpose of catching up with nocturnal animals retreating to their dens after a busy night of hunting. The morning is also the best time to spot the early risers like birds and other mammals. You should be able to see hippos, lions, leopards, buffalos and antelopes of various kinds.

Day 5

The Ishasha sector is world-famous for its tree-climbing lions, as well as other great mammals, primates and antelopes. The rare, tree-climbing lions prefer resting on top of trees because it helps them escape insect bites and spot potential prey. This particular behavior of lions is known to have evolved among 2 lion populations in the world; the Ishasha sector and Lake Manyara in Tanzania. However, the best place to see them is in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6

You will wake up very early for breakfast before heading out to the park offices for a briefing at 7:00 am. During the briefing, the park ranger guides will share information about the do’s and don’ts of trekking. The gorilla groups are allocated according to your overall fitness levels. Porters are available to help you carry extra luggage or heavy equipment. Now that you are ready, head to the forest to track your gorillas.
You will go through thick forests and steep and muddy areas before finally meeting the family. Follow the instructions from the head guide and take as many photos as you can in the one hour that you will spend with the gorillas. After your time with the gorilla family, you will return to the starting point where our guide will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel.
You will then visit the Batwa people. On the fringes of the national park are the last remaining members of the endangered Batwa Pygmy community that once flourished in the area.

Day 7
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After a long night of resting, you will wake up for a late breakfast before starting the journey to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is arguably Uganda’s most beautiful lake. It has got several beautiful islands and romantic shores and is a sanctuary for countless birds. Lake Bunyonyi is an excellent destination for relaxation after a long safari. You will enjoy relaxing by the lake shores, boat riding, island hopping and touring the local fishing villages.

Day 8
Transfer back to Kampala
Transfer back to Kampala
Wake up early, take breakfast and prepare for the long journey back to Kampala or Entebbe for your departure, or a drop-off at your hotel. The driver will ensure that you stop at key points of interest along the way including the Equator crossing in Kayabwe for lunch and photography.
