You will have an early morning pick up from your hotel within Nairobi or at the airport and depart for Amboseli National Park, arriving at the gate for clearance and then embarking on a game drive. Amboseli National Park may be smaller than other Kenyan parks, but it packs a lot into a very small space. The views here are astonishing because Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m), looms over the park to the south. The mountain provides a backdrop to many fantastic wildlife sightings that almost always include elephants with huge tusks, as well as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, and gazelles. Birders can also look for the park's 420 different recorded species. Later, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at Observation Hill as you wander with the beautiful scenic views. You will proceed for an en-route drive as you join the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway arriving late in the evening with drop off at your hotel within Nairobi or the airport.
