Transfer to Nyerere NP And Full-Day Game drive

Your safari adventure begins early with a 4:00 am pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam. You’ll embark on a scenic 4–5 hour drive through the countryside to Nyerere National Park, arriving around 9:00 am. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious breakfast inside the park before beginning your exciting morning game drive. Explore the vast landscapes of Nyerere, home to elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and a wide variety of bird species. Around midday, you’ll stop for lunch at a picnic site within the park, surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness. After lunch, continue with your afternoon game drive as you search for more wildlife along the Rufiji River and open plains. In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay, relaxing after an eventful day in the heart of Tanzania’s largest national park.

Game Drive and Departure

After a full breakfast, you'll head out for a full-day game drive in the vast Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve). The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, zebras, and impalas all commonly seen. It’s also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the rare African wild dogs.

Around midday, you’ll stop at a safe, scenic spot inside the park for a picnic lunch, giving you time to relax and enjoy the view while keeping an eye out for more animals. In the afternoon, at around 3:00 PM, you’ll begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel or another location of your choice.
