Day 1

Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning, you will depart for the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. The reserve forms part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and is renowned for its abundant wildlife, beautiful landscapes and the Great Migration.

Upon arrival, you will check in at Zebra Plains Mara Camp and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. During the safari, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many other wildlife species. Your experienced safari guide will help you discover the best wildlife viewing areas and share fascinating information about the animals and their natural environment.

As the afternoon comes to an end, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight accommodation, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the African wilderness.

Day 2-3

Masai Mara National Reserve – Fullday game Drive

Masai Mara National Reserve – Fullday game Drive

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full-day game drive across the Masai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is famous for its large population of lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.

With a full day available, your guide will explore different areas of the reserve in search of the best wildlife sightings. You may also have the opportunity to see leopards, hyenas and other predators as they move through the open plains.

A packed picnic lunch will be provided, allowing you to spend most of the day inside the reserve without returning to camp. The Mara is also an excellent destination for bird lovers, with hundreds of bird species recorded.

In the late afternoon, you will return to Zebra Plains Mara Camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 4

Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park

Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park

You will begin the day with an early morning game drive as you exit the Masai Mara. This provides one final opportunity to spot wildlife before leaving Kenya, with possible sightings of lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest and other animals.
After completing the border formalities, you will continue into Tanzania and travel towards Serengeti National Park. The journey offers beautiful views of the changing landscapes and rural communities along the way.
Depending on the timing, you may have the opportunity to visit the famous Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site associated with the discoveries of Louis and Mary Leakey. You will then continue towards the Serengeti.
As you enter the park, the landscape opens into the vast Serengeti plains. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a game drive en route to camp before arriving.

Day 5-6

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the magnificent Serengeti National Park. Known as the “endless plains,” the Serengeti is home to an incredible variety of wildlife and is one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations.

Throughout the day, you will explore different areas of the park in search of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles and other wildlife. The Serengeti is also renowned for its predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas.

Your experienced guide will choose the best areas for wildlife viewing based on the season and recent animal movements. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the safari, allowing you to maximize your time in the park.

In the afternoon, continue exploring before returning to your Camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 7

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will wake up early for a morning game drive in the Serengeti, offering the chance to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and observe wildlife during the cooler hours of the day.
After the game drive, you will return to camp for brunch before continuing towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will enjoy changing landscapes as the endless Serengeti plains give way to the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands.
Ngorongoro Crater is one of Tanzania’s most remarkable natural attractions and is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife. The crater floor supports lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, flamingos and many other species. It is also one of the best places to search for the endangered black rhinoceros.
Upon arrival, you will enjoy the spectacular surroundings and, depending on the schedule, a beautiful sundowner overlooking the highlands.

Day 8

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Our final safari day begins early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The crater is one of the best places in Tanzania to experience a high concentration of wildlife within a spectacular natural setting.

During the game drive, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and various antelope species. With some luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhinoceros. The crater’s lake and wetlands provide excellent opportunities for bird watching, including flamingos depending on the season.

After the game drive, you will enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo lake before a short final game drive and ascent from the crater.

You will then drive to Arusha, arriving at approximately 5:00 pm, depending on road conditions and your onward travel plans. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or airport.
