Day 1

Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Early in the morning at 5 am, you will be picked up from your hotel at Dar es Salaam, ready to start your vacation at the Nyerere National Park. It is a maximum 5-hour drive from the city to the park. On the way to the park, you will enjoy the panoramic view of the country's landscape and features. You will have short stops for coffee before arriving in the park.

Upon your arrival in the park, you will have a freshly prepared hot lunch and then proceed with your game drive. Nyerere National Park has relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes, including a diverse range of wildlife. Here, elephant, buffalo, lion, and cheetah are found in great numbers. Together with the remaining part of Selous, it also has the last true stronghold for African wild dog. You will proceed with the game drive until late afternoon when you will be taken to your lodge for rest, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Sunrise Boat Safari and Departure

Sunrise Boat Safari and Departure

After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, you will be taken for a sunrise boat safari on the great Rufiji River. The Rufiji River is the biggest river in the country and it flows into the Indian Ocean. It is home to a healthy number of hippos and crocodiles. The river is very picturesque and a designated photographic zone. A maximum of 3 hours will be enough for you to enjoy your boat safari before returning to Dar es Salaam.

On the way back, you will have a lunch box and enough drinking water in the vehicle to last you the whole day. Arriving at Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at your hotel or at your requested drop-off point. This will be the end of your safari and we mark it as the beginning of a long long-lasting friendship.
