Pick up from Kigali & Transfer to Bwindi (Visit Lake Bunyonyi)

We will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or the Airport, Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park crossing into Uganda through Katuna boarder. Pass by Lake Bunyonyi for sightseeing as well as a Trip to the Historical islands and proceed to Bwindi arriving later in the afternoon / early evening. If time is on our side, you will visit the Batwa Pygmies of Bwindi to also learn about their history on how they lived in the forest.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable Forest and Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

You will have breakfast and then head out to the park headquarters for briefing, allocation of the gorilla family to trek as well as getting a porter especially for those who face difficulty walking longer distances. Each Gorilla family is allocated a group of 8 individuals and accompanied by one guide as well as two armed rangers to protect to keep you safe as you walk through the forest.
You will then head out to the misty forest of Bwindi for gorilla trekking, a journey that goes for 2 – 8 hours of walking through bushes and thickets. With the help of the ranger guide, you will find the mountain gorillas and it’s at this moment the you will be allowed to stay around them for one full hour as you watch them play, feed and Groom each other. This will be a milestone ticked off your travel bucket list.
Right after your gorilla trek, we shall leave Bwindi for Kisoro, the dirt road takes us through a beautiful landscape called the “Switzerland of Africa”.

Golden Monkey Tracking & Transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, meet your safari driver for a transfer for briefing again before embarking on this half day golden monkey tracking. Tracking golden monkey is more interesting and fun as the pretty little primates be jumping from one tree branch to another cheerfully swinging the tail. Unlike gorilla trekking, Golden monkey tracking allow travelers to capture the photographs even with the flash light of the Camera on. After tracking the golden monkey. Meet your driver / guide and transfer back to Kigali arriving in the evening. Drop off at the airport or Hotel in Kigali.
