Your safari with Gemfinders Safaris begin with a 6:00 AM pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. You'll journey through the scenic Great Rift Valley, pausing around 9:00 AM at a viewpoint to admire the expansive landscapes and capture memorable photos. Continuing your drive, you'll arrive at Giraffe Hills Mara Camp in the Masai Mara in time for a 12:00 PM lunch.
After some relaxation, embark on an afternoon game drive from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This time frame is ideal for observing wildlife as the temperatures cool and animals become more active. You'll have the opportunity to spot a variety of species, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, and other inhabitants of the savannah. As the sun sets, return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most famous reserve. Venture deep into the park, following the tracks of the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. If traveling during the migration season from July to October, you may witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River, a breathtaking spectacle of nature.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild, surrounded by the untamed beauty of the reserve. In the afternoon, continue exploring different areas of the park, searching for elusive predators, herds of elephants, and grazing antelopes.
As the sun begins to set, visit a Masai village for a cultural experience. Learn about their traditions, way of life, and enjoy their energetic traditional dances. Engage with the locals, explore their homesteads, and understand their deep connection with nature.
Return to camp for dinner and unwind by the campfire before retiring for the night.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park at 7:00 am, a drive of approximately 4-5 hours. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Lanet Matfam resort
From 2:00pm - 5:30 pm, embark on a game drive in search of Lake Nakuru’s famous black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, Cape buffaloes, zebras, and baboons. Along the shores of the lake, spot thousands of flamingos and other bird species. Keep an eye out for leopards and tree-climbing lions in the acacia woodlands. Return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to Hell’s Gate National Park, a unique destination known for its dramatic scenery and adventure-filled experiences. Here, you can choose to cycle or walk among freely roaming wildlife, offering an up-close encounter with zebras, giraffes, warthogs, and antelopes. Marvel at the towering cliffs, deep gorges, and geothermal hot springs that make this park a geological wonder. Take a guided walk through Hell’s Gate Gorge, where you’ll see striking rock formations shaped by volcanic activity over centuries.
After a short tour, begin your journey to Amboseli National Park at 1:00pm, enjoying scenic landscapes along the way. Stop for lunch en route before continuing to Amboseli. Arrive in the evening and check in at your lodge or camp, where a warm dinner awaits. Unwind and take in the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Rest and prepare for the next day’s thrilling wildlife encounters in one of Kenya’s most iconic parks.

Leave at 6:00 am for gamedrive, the perfect time to capture Amboseli’s wildlife as the first light illuminates Mount Kilimanjaro. This is also an ideal time for photography, with golden light enhancing the beauty of the landscape.
After the morning drive, enjoy a picnic lunch around lunchtime in the park, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery and the sounds of nature. Continue with an afternoon game drive, making the most of your last hours in Amboseli, searching for any animals you may have missed earlier.
At 4:00 pm, exit the park and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Arrive in the evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport at around 8:00 pm, concluding an unforgettable 5-day safari adventure with Gemfinders Safaris.
