In the early morning, board the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, enjoying a smooth and scenic journey through Tanzania’s landscapes. Upon arrival at Morogoro SGR station, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and set off on an exciting 2-hour drive (approximately 110 km) to Mikumi National Park. Enter the park and immediately dive into a thrilling game drive across its vast open plains, often compared to the Serengeti for its sweeping scenery and rich wildlife. Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions, and a variety of bird species roaming freely in their natural habitat. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, surrounded by the sounds of the wild, before continuing your afternoon exploration. As the sun begins to set, head to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay under the African sky.

Mikumi is home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing the game drive. Depart early morning from Mikumi National Park and begin the drive toward the Nyerere National Park area, covering approximately 230–250 km in about 6–8 hours. Along the way, enjoy an en route game drive through the wilderness corridor connecting the two parks, spotting wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various antelopes. Upon reaching the Nyerere area, continue with short game drives through riverine and woodland habitats, where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and lions may be seen. Take a scenic break for a picnic lunch while observing animals in their natural environment before proceeding to your camp outside the park in the evening after a full day of safari and wildlife viewing.
