Your adventure begins as you arrive in the bustling city of Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania's incredible safari destinations. After touching down, you'll be transferred to your comfortable accommodation. This is your chance to relax, shake off any jetlag, and prepare yourself for the awe-inspiring experiences that lie ahead.

Day 2

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park

After breakfast, your driver-guide will drive you 45 minutes to Arusha National Park, the closest park. There, you'll enjoy a morning walking safari followed by a lovely lunch near Momella Lake. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive. Return to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay. The park features Mt Meru, a prominent volcano, and diverse landscapes including the Meru Crater, Ngurdoto Crater, and Momella Lakes known for wading birds. Mt Meru, the park's second-highest peak, is just 60 km from Mt Kilimanjaro.

Day 3

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After having breakfast, you will depart and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Your driver-guide will prepare a hot meal for lunch in the afternoon. Later in the evening, you will drive to a beautiful lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a peaceful park in Northern Tanzania. It is well-known for its elephant migration, bird watching and authentic safari atmosphere. Unfortunately, most travelers to the region either miss out on Tarangire altogether or only spend a few hours in the park, leaving parts of it virtually untouched.

Day 4

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your lodge with a picnic lunch box. From there, you will proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. The park is famous for its arboreal lions, which hide within the branches of the trees, and numerous colonies of baboons that populate the forest. These baboons will accompany you along the road from the moment you enter the park. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are breathtaking and provide stunning photo opportunities of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground and the lake (and its flamingos) in the background.

After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the park, you will head straight to Fig tree lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

Departing Mto wa mbu, you'll embark on a journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you approach the central Serengeti area, you'll have the opportunity for a game drive en route, getting a taste of the wildlife that awaits. Once you arrive, you'll check in at your Serengeti camp, where you'll stay for the next few days.

The Serengeti's endless plains and diverse wildlife beckon for two full days of exploration. With your guide, you'll traverse this iconic landscape, keeping an eye out for the Big Five and the incredible Great Migration, should your visit coincide with it. The option of a hot air balloon safari provides a unique perspective of the Serengeti. Evenings are spent at your chosen Serengeti accommodation.

Day 8

Your morning will be filled with exciting wildlife encounters within the crater's unique ecosystem. Later in the afternoon, you will start your journey back to Arusha. Once you arrive in Arusha, you can relax and settle into your accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

You can visit the local markets, immerse yourself in the culture, or delve into the history of this vibrant city through its museums. If time permits, you may also do some last-minute souvenir shopping. Later, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will bid farewell to Tanzania, taking with your memories of an extraordinary 9-day safari.
