Our representative will be waiting for you at the airport for your pick-up and transfer you to Akagera National Park. We recommend that you spend an overnight in Kigali so that you are relaxed and ready for your amazing safari to Rwanda. You will kick start your journey to Akagera National Park where you will spend 2 nights at an excellent lodge. On arrival after you have checked in, you will start your with game drive to see grazers such rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and impalas and many other savannah birds. The journey from Kigali to the park takes about 2 to 3 hours to drive. You will arrive in the evening for relaxation.

Day 2
Game and boat

After your early breakfast, you will kick start your game drive with an open-roof safari vehicle for game viewing. You can expect to see animals like hippos, elephants, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras and waterbucks among others. You later proceed to the lodge for a hot lunch. After your hearty lunch, drive to the starting point for the boat cruise. After the boat ride, you will do another game drive as you head back to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 3

Today, after breakfast, you will do a game drive through the park as you head out to kick start your journey to Volcanoes National Park via Kigali city. You will have lunch en route, arriving in the late evening for relaxation. You may choose to take a short walk around your lodge, visit the community or choose to stay at your lodge.

Day 4

Your gorilla trekking experience will begin in the morning with a hearty breakfast. You will drive to the park headquarters with a packed lunch where you will meet the park ranger guide at 7 am for registration. He will take you through a briefing about the dos and don'ts while tracking and will then lead you to the forest to trek the endangered mountain gorillas.
The mountain gorilla trekking lasts from 1 to 8 hours, depending on where the gorilla family is spotted because they keep moving to look for food. It will be exciting, as you will be enjoying the calls of the birds and seeing other primates as you search for the endangered mountain gorillas. After a successful trek, head back to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 5
Golden monkey trekking and transfer to kivu

Start the day with a mouthwatering breakfast at the lodge. You then drive to the park headquarters with all of your luggage and trekking gear for a pre-trek briefing. The knowledgeable ranger guides will go over the dos and don'ts of trekking and then accompany you on an experience that will last anywhere from 1 to 7 hours, depending on how far the golden monkeys are foraging. You can expect to see golden monkey habitats, rare plant species like giant lobelia, birds, and more. After a successful visit, transfer to lake kivu for relaxation. You may visit Hotsprings if time allows.

Today morning after your hearty breakfast, You will start with coffee experience with the local farmers where you learn much from coffee growing and you will prepare espresso by yourself with a local family. Afterwards proceed to Nyungwe park. If time allows do canopy walk.

Today morning, You will assemble at park offices for registration and briefing about trekking. After wards ascend to the forest. Once you have seen them foraging, you will a hour learning them and taking photos. After a successful trek. Descend back through tea farms to your lodge for relaxation.
