Our representative will be waiting for you at the airport for your pick-up and transfer you to Akagera National Park. We recommend that you spend an overnight in Kigali so that you are relaxed and ready for your amazing safari to Rwanda. You will kick start your journey to Akagera National Park where you will spend 2 nights at an excellent lodge. On arrival, after you have checked in, you will start your game drive to see grazers such as rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and many other savannah birds. The journey from Kigali to the park takes about 2 to 3 hours to drive. You will arrive in the evening for relaxation.

After your early breakfast, you will kick start your game drive with an open-roof safari vehicle for wildlife viewing. You can expect to see animals like hippos, elephants, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and waterbucks among others. Later, you will proceed to volcanoes national park reaching your lodge for relaxation as you prepare for next trekking.

Your gorilla trekking experience will begin in the morning with a hearty breakfast. You will drive to the park headquarters with a packed lunch where you will meet the park ranger guide at 7 am for registration. He will take you through a briefing about the dos and don'ts while tracking and will then lead you to the forest to trek the endangered mountain gorillas.
The mountain gorilla trekking lasts from 1 to 8 hours, depending on where the gorilla family is spotted because they keep moving to look for food. It will be exciting, as you will be enjoying the calls of the birds and seeing other primates as you search for the endangered mountain gorillas. After a successful trek, you will start a journey to Nyungwe national park reaching in evening.

Today morning, you will assemble at park offices for registration and briefing about trekking. Afterward, you will ascend to the forest. Once you have seen them foraging, you will an hour learning them and taking photos. After a successful trek. You will descend back through tea farms to your lodge for relaxation.
