Arrange to get yourself to Wilson Airport for your flight to Mugie Airstrip.
There are 2 possible flight options, and your flight will be determined just days before the actual date.
This is due to passenger loads and routes being flown on the actual travel date, as other destinations like Loisaba, Lewa, Ol Pejeta or Masai Mara can be combined with your route.
If your flight departs Nairobi at 0815hrs, you will most likely arrive Mugie at 0915hrs.
And if your flight departs Nairobi at 0930hrs, you will most likely arrive Mugie at 1130hrs.
Met at the airstrip and transfer to Ekorian's Mugie Camp only 20 minutes away.

Since the Camp only has 6 tents, this is an intimate setting that gives you the flexibility to choose from a range of activities offered. You have unlimited game drives during the day, which you can fit in between breakfast, lunch and dinner and can also be taken as a bush meal and/or sundowner. You can laze around the swimming pool, which overlooks a watering hole. Meet Tala - the resident giraffe. Visit the Mugie School, clinic and livestock office, where you can lean about livestock and rangeland management. Overnight at Ekorian's Mugie Camp.

Abundant activities available
Start your day with a round of golf (US$ 30 Green Fees payable). Continue with maybe a bush breakfast followed by a demonstration by Mugie's anti-poaching bloodhounds (dogs). Hang out with Tala, the resident giraffe at Camp and then lunch. Perhaps in the afternoon, a nap or even a camel ride or kayaking & fishing. How about an evening guided walk. Dinner back at Camp and then an exciting night game drive. Unlimited day game drives are also available if you prefer.

Enjoy your final day at Ekorian's Mugie Camp. You have complete flexibility to choose whatever activity you want - all weather permitting. From day & night game drives, bush meals & sundowners, kayaking & fishing, guided walks, camel rides and golf. If you haven't made any community visits yet, this is a good time to go.

Day 5
Off to Nairobi for a night
Off to Nairobi for a night
After breakfast, morning transfer to Mugie Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi.
Your flight may be one of two options below, depending on the day's passenger loads:
Depart Mugie at around 0930hrs to arrive Nairobi's Wilson Airport at 12 noon, via Masai Mara.
Or depart Mugie at 1145hrs to arrive Nairobi's Wilson Airport at 1300hrs, possibly via Ol Pejeta
Met and transferred to Hemingways Nairobi.
The entire day & evening for you to relax at the hotel.
Or optional activities all available at an additional cost: Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (advance booking necessary), Giraffe Centre, Utamaduni Craft Centre, Kazuri Bead Factory, and Opportunity Factory.
You can choose to have your meals at Cultiva Farm, Boho Eatery, Talisman Restaurant and Mattbronze - all payable direct.

Off to Lamu
Off to Lamu
Breakfast at leisure. You have until noon to go on any activity you missed out on the day before.
Transfer to Nairobi's Wilson Airport at midday, for your flight departing Nairobi at 1350hrs to arrive Lamu at 1515hrs.
Met and transferred by boat to Manda Bay.
Lunch, dinner and overnight in a Beachfront room at Manda Bay.

Lots of activities available here.
Laze around the swimming pool, or use the games room for activities and yoga.
Kayaking, sailing, windsurfing & standup paddle boarding.
Also available at additional costs and payable direct are activities such as water skiing, banana ride, tubing, sailing & windsurfing lessons, snorkeling, spa treatments (prior booking required), and turtle hatchings fee (only available between April - August). You can even hire a dhow (boat) cruise for lunch (prior booking required).

Ending your holiday with a grand finale

It's your final day of your holiday.
End it in style by going deep sea fishing for half a day or full day.
Or hire a boat for the day and visit Lamu & Shela where you can go to the Lamu Museum.
Or just take a boat transfer to either Turtle nests / Starfish Beach / Lamu or Shela / Kipungani / Kiwayu.
All these will be at an additional cost.

Breakfast and the rest of the morning at leisure to relax by the pool or in your room.
Transfer by boat to Manda Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi, departing at 1535hrs.
You will arrive Nairobi's Wilson Airport at 1730hrs.
Own arrangements for transfer to Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward international flight.
