You are picked up from your lodge early in the morning to start the beautiful journey to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately 3 hours.
Tarangire National Park is well-known for its large elephant herds. You will see a variety of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to the savanna. All this while, the Tarangire River winds its way through the parklands. You may see a lion stalking its prey and leopards relaxing in the trees above. Once the game drives are complete, we will drive you to Karatu for check-in at your lodge, where you can relax, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti, which you will reach by midday.
Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania. It features diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. The biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place here, and, depending on the season, you may witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water.

Enjoy your breakfast, check out, and head to the Northern Serengeti, where you'll spend two days. Imagine crossing the grassy plains of northern Serengeti with your guide and coming across millions of wildebeests and zebras, moaning and bleating as they attempt to cross a river full of crocodiles. This is the famous Mara River crossing of the Great Migration, a natural wonder witnessed every year between July and October in the northern part of Serengeti National Park. This will be a nerve-racking event to watch - for did we mention the big cats waiting on the other side, just as hungry for meat as the herds are for greener pastures.

Your guide will be sure to take you to the new places in the central Serengeti.
On this day, we're flexible and can arrange a balloon safari in the Northern Serengeti, where you'll have the opportunity to observe wildlife from the sky, followed by a complimentary bush breakfast.

After breakfast, you'll enjoy an enroute game drive in Serengeti and later drive to Ngorongoro Conservation and descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view the game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor.
The bottom of the crater, dotted with watering holes, shelters almost 30,000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the volcano's slopes. You will find the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world, surrounded by very steep walls that rise 610 meters from the floor. It is considered one of the world's natural wonders and a veritable wildlife haven. Spectacular animal life can be observed year-round, thanks to the year-round availability of grass and water.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, you depart for Arusha via the Mto wa Mbu village. Bustling with a variety of cultures from around Tanzania, the little town of Mto Wa Mbu lies at the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. You'll have the opportunity to interact with local farmers, artisans, and painters. A sampling of the local banana beer adds a unique taste of local flavor.
This cross-cultural melting pot is home to approximately 120 tribes. A bustling, thriving village, it is fascinating to hear the colorful blend of languages and witness first-hand the unique customs. Cultural diversity is evident in various entrepreneurial practices, including a farmer from Kigoma producing palm oil from palm trees he purchased along the shores of Lake Tanganyika, and the Rangi creating colorful, beautiful mats and baskets using papyrus from the lakes and rivers.
Later in the afternoon, we'll drop you off at the Arusha Airport or the Kilimanjaro Airport.
