Day 1

Your adventure begins with a scenic pick-up from Entebbe or Kampala, enjoying Uganda’s lush countryside along the way. Mabamba Swamp is accessible in three ways: take a ferry at Nakiwongo, followed by a short drive to the swamp, glide the full distance by boat from Nakiwogo, or drive directly from Entebbe/Kampala straight to Mabamba. Once there, explore the tranquil waterways on a motorized canoe, spotting the legendary Shoebill, colorful waterbirds, hippos, and other wetland wildlife. After your canoe safari, enjoy lunch at Nkima Lodge overlooking the swamp, relax by the pool, or stroll through the gardens spotting butterflies and birds. Return to Entebbe in the late afternoon, reflecting on a truly unique and unforgettable wildlife adventure.
