Day 1

You'll be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha, Arusha Airport, or Kilimanjaro International Airport, depending on your schedule. A scenic 2-hour drive along well-paved roads will take us to Tarangire National Park, where we'll arrive by mid-morning. Upon registration at the park's gate, we'll commence our first game drive in this renowned park known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, set against the backdrop of the Great Rift Valley. The park owes its name to the Tarangire River, which sustains the diverse wildlife population year-round, making it the fifth largest park in Tanzania. We'll continue our game viewing adventure, searching for animals and birds until late afternoon, before transferring to fig tree lodge for overnight accommodation.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

After indulging in a freshly prepared breakfast by your safari chef at the campsite, we'll embark on our journey to the Serengeti National Park. Along the way, we'll traverse the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ascending the winding roads up the Rift Valley's escarpment. By mid-morning, we'll arrive at Naabi Hill Gate, where you'll have a chance to stretch your legs while our guide handles the necessary paperwork. Soon after, we'll dive straight into our game drives, heading towards central Serengeti. Here, we'll spend the entire afternoon searching for wildlife until sunset. As the day draws to a close, we'll pitch camp at Seronera, where you'll have the option to stay at any of the available public campsites. All meals are included.

Day 3

Early morning game drives in case you are an early riser and then after breakfast leave with your packed lunch and head out to the plains in search of more animals and birds. The safari guide will be in close contact with other guides via VHF radio to locate the best sightings of the day and you will expect to see a lot of animals in the Serengeti including the Big Five of Leopards, Lions, Elephants, Rhinos and Buffaloes but also other large game like hartebeests, topis, zebras, giraffes, as well as predators like cheetahs and the silver back jackals. Serengeti National Park is also home to over 500 species of birds recorded and therefore one of the birding hotspots in Africa. Later at sunset you will do game viewing on your way back to your campsite for a well deserved shower and relaxation at the campfire.

Day 4

On this morning too you can do early morning game drives if you wish then after breakfast you are off with a packed lunch as you drive out towards Naabi Hill Gate to leave Serengeti National Park with game drives en route. Later in the afternoon you will arrive at your campsite at the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater where you will pitch camp for the night. On your way to the campsite you will have an option to visit the Olduvai Gorge and or the Maasai Villages along the way. Olduvai Gorge is a famous archaeological site where the couple of Dr Louis and Mary Leakey (famous archaeologists) discovered the fossils of the hominid; Zinjanthropus boisei also called Australopithecus Boisei or the ‘Nutcracker Man’ who roamed the plains more than 1.4 Million years ago.

Early morning breakfast this morning then descend as early as 6.00 Hrs to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater before the crowds, to have better chances of seeing animals both Diurnal and Nocturnal species. You will spend this day at the floor of this world’s unbroken caldera that acts as a natural zoo for thousands of animals and on a lucky day you might even spot the Big Five on this day alone. Apart from the Big five Ngorongoro also is also home to many animals and birds, and with it’s small area of around 21 Kilometers wide the area is feted as the only place with the highest concentration of wildlife per square area. Lunch will most likely be at the famous poolside picnic site then later in the afternoon you will drive back to Arusha where the safari end.
