Day 1

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by Lucas African Adventure representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Overnight will be at Tulia Spa & Hotel, which is a calm hotel located in the suburbs of the city with a natural setup and a beautiful garden awaiting for the following day.

Day 2

Kilimanjaro Foothills

After breakfast, you will depart to Kilimanjaro`s waterfalls Materuni, the place is blessed with green vegetation which originates from Kilimanjaro water springs hence making it the best place for coffee and Banana plantations. You`ll pass through coffee and banana plantation, enjoying the nature of the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and visit the waterfalls, get an explanation and enjoy swimming if you like to. Then we go back to Arusha town.

Day 3

Tarangire national park

Tarangire national park

Early morning after breakfast. We depart to Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. Overnight stay will be inside the park.

Tarangire National Park to Mto wa MBU

Tarangire National Park to Mto wa MBU

We will enjoy an early breakfast and set off on our short game viewing drive in Tarangire where there are more breeding species of birds. Home to Tanzania's largest population of elephants. After that we`ll transfer to Mto Wa Mbu for biking safari which you will get a feel of the local flavor of Mto Wa Mbu’s eclectic mix of cultures. Mountain biking ride through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. On this ride you visit local farms, schools, church, milling machine a local bar and enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant village. After a packed lunch, we depart to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Farm of dream lodge.

Day 5

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of wading birds including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. You may see baboon and elephant in the park’s thick evergreen forest, and watch for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa. Overnight stay will be at Karatu.

Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Ngorongoro crater. You will have an opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino and large families of lions. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. After a packed lunch drive to the Serengeti National Park for a short game drive and overnight stay.

After a morning breakfast we`ll head from central Serengeti to northern Serengeti. The Central Serengeti, lying at the heart of this spectacular national park, is the most popular region in the reserve for its abundant wildlife, large numbers of big cats and quintessential Serengeti landscapes. In the Northern Serengeti we will cross Mara River in Kogatende Area. You will experience prime wildlife viewing during a Great Migration safari as tons of different animals from small to large are abundant and full of life during this time of the year. River crossing is at its height in August and lasts until September. The mega herds move non-stop as they follow the rain, and head to greener pastures. You will witness predators running after the crowds as they prey on large animals. The height of action in Kogatende is at its peak during August. After morning breakfast we`ll enjoy early morning and farewell game drives through the Serengeti plains. Your driver guide will take you down to the central part of Serengeti where it is famous for its cats. Serengeti is perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, impalas, buffalo, birds and up to ten thousand elephants.
After that we drive back to Karatu, arriving at our mid-range partner lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.

After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Mto wa Mbu for a cultural visit to the cultural centre spotting and buying some interested artcrafts of your choice. You will have local lunch to taste the local African food. After lunch, drive back to Arusha Town or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight back home.
