Day 1

Nairobi - Wajee Nature Park - Aberdares National Park

Nairobi - Wajee Nature Park - Aberdares National Park

You will be met and transferred to Wajee Nature Park where you will spend the whole day and later in the evening will be transferred to Aberdares cottage for dinner and overnight. Wajee Nature Park is a bird conservancy and nature park located in Mukuruwe-ini Central Kenya 160 Km north of Nairobi. It is home to two rare species: the Hindes Babbler and the side-striped jackal. The main species is the Hinde’s Babbler, which is endemic to the Mt. Kenya Region and is listed as threatened due to the encroachment of its lower Mt. Kenya Forest habitat, the park is adorned with an array of flora and fauna and is perfect day trip for bird lovers as it is home to many rare forest birds including African dusky Flycatcher, Northern Pied Babbler, African Hill Babbler, Cape Robin Chat, Evergreen Forest Warbler among others. You can explore the nature trail and its tunnels, Animals you can expect to see include genet cats, mongooses, bush baby, vervet monkeys and squirrels.

Day 2

Aberdares National Park

For bird lovers, this is your spot. Aberdares is the only park where Turaco can be found and over 250 bird species. The park with steep forested ravines, open moorland and intriguing falls. The Aberdares National park is an isolated volcanic range that forms the eastern wall of the rift valley. It also provides a habitat for Elephants, black rhinos, leopards, black and white colobus monkeys. Rare sightings of Giant Forest hog, serval cats, African wild cat, African civet cat blue duiker, and a Turaco(which cant be found in any other park in Kenya).
With Packed Lunched provided spent the whole day exploring Aberdares and in the evening return to the camp for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3

Aberdares to Meru National park

Aberdares to Meru National park

Morning breakfast and transfer to Meru National Park, Arriving in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. The complete wilderness, verdant swamps, khaki grasslands, gaut termite cathedrals, little visited and utterly unspoilt, few places are compared to the remote and rugged atmosphere found here, great views of Mt Kenya, rivers and riverine habitats, a vacation that walks in the footsteps of joy Adamson’s, made famous by George and Joy Admsons biographical book and film "born free" the story of the Adamson’s life and research amongst lions and cheetahs. Elsa the lioness was the most well known and her grave is marked inside the park.
Bird life is also exceptionally diverse with over 400 bird species recorded. These include Peter’s Fin foot, inhabiting the Murera and Ura rivers; Pel’s fishing owl, kingfishers, rollers, bee-eaters, starlings and weavers. The rivers abound with hippo populations, crocodiles, and fish.
Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Enjoy a full day game drive at Meru national park. The park is quiet and silent since there is no congestion.
Meru sits intact in a wilderness less visited, yet surrounded by undiluted natural beauty, wild and beautiful, straddling the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams. The scenery is diverse from woodlands to wide-open plains with meandering riverbanks dotted with doum palms. Meru hosts a rhino sanctuary that is home to the endangered black and white rhino species. Critically endangered, The sanctuary offers one of the best rhino viewing experiences in the wild.
Visitors can also enjoy the rich culture of the Ameru, Borana and Tharaka communities in the cultural villages.
Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
