Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Fly on a scheduled (daily) flight to Kihihi airstrip. Upon arrival at Kihihi, you’ll be met by an Arcadia safaris’ representative and driven to your lodge, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; approximately one hour’s drive. There are a variety of optional activities that can be done this afternoon (time permitting), these include;

Forest Walk (Optional).

Village Community Walk (Optional).

After the forest and community walk experience, you will proceed to your lodge for lunch, dinner and an overnight in preparation for the incoming events.

Gorilla Trekking Day at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This will be an eventful day and you need to wake up at around 6am. As you take breakfast, our guide shall request the hotel to prepare for you parked lunch just in case the trekking activity goes on past mid-day. The driver will take you to the park offices so that you are in time for the briefing from the park ranger-guide which starts at 7:30am.

After the briefing, you will be assigned a gorilla family along with 7 other travelers. The Park Guides will offer you a hiking stick and a chance to hire porters to help you with any heavy luggage/cameras.

After everyone is assembled, you will begin tracking the primates. Gorilla trekking can take anywhere between 30 mins to 6hrs depending on the gorilla family you are tracking and their location on the day of the trek. Once you get to them, you are allowed only one hour of observation.

After spending time with the primates, you will be led back to the starting point for your certificate of participation and transfer back to your lodge.

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

Depart Bwindi Forest National Park and travel to Kihihi Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. Thus this will bring our 3 days Uganda fly to Bwindi Gorilla safari to an end.

Note: If you plan to spend additional time in Uganda, this safari can be tailored to your wishes to include some of the many activities available in Entebbe and throughout Uganda.

You could explore Kampala; visit Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre; have a luxury sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria or take a short trip to Jinja, the Adventure Centre of East Africa, offering grade 5 white water rafting, quad biking and bungee jumping!
