You will be welcomed by our guide who will gladly be your tour guide/driver on your 6 days Gorillas, Chimpanzees & Hiking Safari. Our safaris normally start very early in the morning with stops at the Equator crossing for photography and a lunch break in Mbarara town. You will then proceed to the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park because this is where the gorilla trekking experience is currently taking place. This journey is very scenic as you have an opportunity to see the Kigezi rolling hills and valleys as you travel to Kisoro or the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will arrive late afternoon for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2

Early morning, breakfast with your packed lunch, you will report to the park headquarters for registration and join other trackers in a briefing about the dos and don’ts during your Uganda gorilla tracking at 7:45 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you half an hour to three-quarters of the day.
The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures.

Day 3

Hiking Mount Sabinyo Volcano in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

The Mount Sabinyo volcano is the oldest among the three volcanoes and that is why it has its name, which means: “teeth of the old man”! This volcano has three challenging peaks. The trail takes you up a ridge along the eastern side to Peak One If you wish to continue, the climb to Peak Two involves walking a ridge with breathtaking drops into the gorges of Rwanda and Uganda. Finally, the hike up to Peak 3 is steep with several ladders and much scrambling.
On top of peak 3 (3669m), you will be in Rwanda, Uganda, and DR Congo at the same time! The Sabinyo volcano hike takes you through all different vegetation belts, and you have good chances of seeing Golden Monkeys, Duiker, Rwenzori Turacos, and other many birds. Walking time 7 hrs; distance is about 14 km.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you through the Ishasha sector which is famous for tree-climbing lions arriving at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon, game drive en route where you might spot game along the way as you transfer to the park headquarters. Watch out for tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector.

Early in the morning before dawn, you will wake up to have a cup of coffee or a glass of water/ juice then proceed for an early morning game drive. This game drive will take you through the Kasenyi track and other tracks in the park and will reward you with animals like Lions, elephants, hyenas, Giant forest hogs, Bush bucks, Warthogs, civets, aardvarks, Leopards, and many more. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga channel that connects lakes Edward and George. The launch cruise will reward you with a game like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and birds at the shores.
