Nairobi-Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your driver-guide will pick you from the airport or your city hotel for the start of the safari, with a departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve. Stop briefly en route at the Great Rift Valley view point to enjoy the stunning views of an enormous valley system said to be visible from the outer space. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch we will have an afternoon game drive which will allow spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park. This reserve is known for providing excellent predator sightings thanks to its relatively large population of lion, cheetah and leopard. Bordering Tanzania, the Mara is in the northern extension of Serengeti and forms a wildlife corridor between the two countries where the great migration of wild beasts takes place. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Mara Full Day

You will be taken on two game drives today, in the morning before breakfast and in the late afternoon. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewing of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. If you are fortunate enough you will catch lions during one of their rare bouts of daytime activities and it’ll be fascinating to watch the social interaction between pride members especially the playful ways of lion cubs under the watchful eyes of their mothers.

Famous Mara-Lake Nakuru NP

After breakfast depart from the Mara through the Masai plains and the Mau escarpments into the floor of the Rift valley. Arrive in the flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. We will embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park including visits to viewpoints which offer superb photo opportunities. Lake Nakuru is one of several Rift Valley lakes and its ecosystem supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.

Lake Nakuru NP-Lake Naivasha

You will have breakfast then check out of the lodge. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalos wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lake’s large hippo population sleep the day out in the shallows. You will also visit Crescent Island. This is a private Island on Lake Naivasha that rose to fame after the 1985 movie “Out of Africa” that showcased the beautiful nature of Lake Naivasha and its surrounding. This magical space offers a number of unforgettable experiences, which you should definitely get to experience. If you enjoy nature photography then you will be overwhelmed by the beauty that the Crescent Island holds. The amazing thing is that you get to talk a nature walk among these animals without fear of harm or danger.

During clear days, you may also view the Majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, which is the tallest mountain in Africa. You will spend time in the park in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the zebras, giraffes, hippos and big elephants.
