The House of Waine is located in Karen, Nairobi. It is a 40-minute drive from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and only 25 minutes from the Wilson Airport. The hotel sits on 2.5 acres and offers a serene environment to guests. House of Waine provides good accommodation facilities, and there are only 11 well-furnished bedrooms. The rooms are all individually styled and named to reflect their different themes, ensuring that no 2 are identical.

Day 2

Nairobi Excursions

Nairobi Excursions

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a full-day excursion. We begin with a visit to the Giraffe Centre, then visit The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for the 11h00 public visit (subject to availability).

We have a lunch break at the Mat Bronze Restaurant or a similar restaurant. After lunch, we visit the Karen Blixen Museum and then Kazuri or Utamaduni Art Center to shop for a collection of handicrafts, artifacts, art objects, household goods of daily use, etc. The quality of all products is very good. These are for personal use or gifts.

Nairobi to Lewa Conservancy

Set amidst 62,000 acres of sprawling savannah, the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy boasts some of the most spectacular views in northern Kenya. With one of the highest wildlife densities in Kenya, including 10% and 14% of the country’s black and white rhinos, respectively, the conservancy is also home to the world's single largest population of Grevy's zebras. It is also the best place to spot herds of elephants and buffalos, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, more than 400 species of birds, and, if lucky, a pack of wild dogs.

Lewa Conservancy

You’ll head out before sunrise to catch early morning sightings of the park’s teeming wildlife. Africa’s famous Big Five roam these savannahs, as do giraffe, Somali ostrich, oryx, and gerenuk. Look out for some of the 400 bird species that grace these fields and forests. It’s a wildlife spectacular with stunning, snow-capped Mount Kenya as your backdrop.

A picnic lunch is served at the park at the Mara River, the crossing point of the wildebeest and zebra from Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya, as you interact with the monkeys.

Guided walking safaris, sundowners, balloon safaris, and cultural visits can be organized at an extra cost.

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport, you'll be met by our driver, who will take you to Four Points By Sheraton for lunch. After lunch, the driver will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to arrive in time for your flight.
