Day 1

Departure to Samburu

You will depart from Nairobi via Thika superhighway and drive north of Nairobi covering a distance of approximately 310km. This shall be a scenic journey, a 6-hours journey to Archer’s gate through the tea, coffee and sisal plantations of Nyeri and Karatina. There will be an en-route stopover (if need be) to view Mount Kenya with its snow-capped peaks.
Your drive shall proceed past the equator crossing to the semi-arid county of Samburu. Embark on your first game drive en route to our lodge or tented camp for check-in and lunch. Another game drive is scheduled in the afternoon before dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Samburu National Reserve Game Drive

Samburu National Reserve Game Drive

This shall be a full day of unlimited game viewing. Possible sightings include unique wildlife species like oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and other wild animals peculiar to this semi-arid region.
Your game drives will be along the Ewaso Nyiro River where most of the wild animals are found. All meals and overnight stay will be in the same tented camp.

Day 3

Back to Nairobi

Back to Nairobi

You will have an optional game drive before breakfast. After breakfast, you will depart and drive back to Nairobi. Lunch will be provided en route. You'll arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. On arrival in Nairobi, you will check in to your hotel freshen up and then enjoy dinner and rest for the night.

Day 4

Safari to Maasai Mara

After breakfast from your hotel in Nairobi, our driver will pick you up and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. You will drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is part of the Serengeti vast plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. You will have lunch at our camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. Other animals in the park include Masai giraffes, buffalos, elands and thousands of plain game including impalas, zebras, Topis, and both Thompsons and Grant gazelles.

Day 5

Maasai Mara National Reserve

After having breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive accompanied by a packed lunch. The objective is to continue the search for magnificent wild animals. The vast plains are home to numerous herds of herbivores peacefully grazing, while cheetahs and leopards remain concealed in their respective habitats. The Masai Mara is widely renowned as Kenya's premier destination for wildlife observation. The reserve boasts an impressive variety of wildlife, with approximately 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles, as well as over 400 bird species documented within its boundaries. Nowhere else in Africa will you find such an abundance of wildlife, which is why visitors rarely miss the opportunity to encounter the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). A midday picnic will be enjoyed at the Mara River migration point, followed by a return to the camp in the evening for dinner.

Day 6

Enroute to Lake Naivasha

The morning will kick off with an early game drive, lasting until approximately 9:30 am, as you venture out in search of wildlife. Following the drive, you will return to the camp or lodge to enjoy a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, there will be an opportunity to visit a Maasai village, immersing yourself in their rich culture at an extra cost. Subsequently, you will depart for Naivasha, with a stop for lunch at Narok. Once lunch is finished, the journey will continue towards Lake Naivasha, where you will arrive in the late afternoon. An exciting boat trip awaits, offering splendid views of various bird species and aquatic animals, such as hippos. Don't forget to capture some stunning photographs during this memorable experience.

After having breakfast at Amboseli National Reserve, we will embark on a journey to Tsavo West National Park. Along the way, we will enjoy game viewing, giving us the opportunity to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. Our destination within Tsavo West will be the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, where we will spend the day on exhilarating game drives. One of the highlights of the game drive will be a visit to Mzima Springs, a crystal-clear water source inhabited by hippos, crocodiles, and various species of fish. The abundance of bird species in the area will also captivate your attention. Continuing our game drive, we will explore the unique landscape of the Shetani Lava Flow, which offers a distant glimpse of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest snow-capped peak. As the day comes to an end, we will return to our accommodation for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Transfer by Train Back to Nairobi

Following an early breakfast, you will embark on an extended morning game viewing drive in Tsavo West National Park, allowing you to appreciate the breathtaking scenery and witness the captivating sight of the Shetani lava. The park's landscapes evoke the iconic imagery of Africa often depicted in Hollywood films. After the game drive, exit the park and be transferred to voi train station to catch a train back to Nairobi. Upon reaching Nairobi, you will be received by one of our representatives and you will have the option to be dropped off at either the airport or your hotel. If you desire, there is also the possibility to spend additional time in a hotel within Nairobi City at an extra cost.
