Your adventure begins with a morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the ferry terminal. Enjoy a scenic ferry crossing to Dar es Salaam before transferring to the SGR railway station for your journey towards Mikumi.

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai Village where you will learn about the customs, traditions, lifestyle, and culture of one of East Africa's most famous tribes. Enjoy cultural dances, traditional homes, and fascinating stories before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Safari in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. Explore the famous Mkata Floodplain, home to large herds of zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and giraffes.

Keep your eyes open for elephants roaming the plains and predators such as lions searching for prey. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while surrounded by Tanzania's incredible wilderness before continuing your wildlife adventure in the afternoon.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Udzungwa Mountains National Park Hiking Adventure

Today you will journey to the spectacular Udzungwa Mountains National Park, renowned for its tropical rainforest, unique biodiversity, and stunning waterfalls.

Accompanied by an experienced guide, hike through lush forest trails while observing colorful butterflies, birds, and endemic monkey species found nowhere else in the world. Reach the magnificent Sanje Waterfalls, where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Kilombero Valley.

After your hike, return to Mikumi for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After breakfast, transfer to the SGR station for your train journey back to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, continue to the ferry terminal and board the ferry to Zanzibar.

Once in Zanzibar, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure.
