You will be warmly welcomed at Entebbe airport by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe and brief you about your safari adventure. Next morning you will be picked from your hotel after breakfast to your next destination comfortably.

Transfer to Ngamba Island
After breakfast, take a short boat ride to Ngamba Island to visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, established in association with the Jane Goodall Institute. The island is home to monitors lizards and many species of birds and is a natural habitat for chimpanzees that have been orphaned or rescued from captivity. You will watch these fascinating primates from a viewing platform. Later, transfer back to your hotel.

Transfer to Kibale National Park
After early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park. Keep an eye out for black-and-white colobus monkeys you continue the scenic drive to the lodge, which is set on a crater lake against a backdrop of high peaks. Rest and wake up to your next activity.

Chimpanzee tracking-Bigodi nature walk
After breakfast, head into Kibale National head park offices for chimpanzee tracking briefing. This tropical rain forest harbors 13 different primate species, including chimpanzees, black-and white Columbus, red tailed and blue monkeys, and the rare l’Hoest’s monkey. After a morning of chimpanzee tracking, you will have lunch and in the after you will take a short walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, on the lookout for primates, butterflies, and some 200 species of birds. Later, a resident primatologist joins us for a special talk.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to a high concentration of Uganda’s mammals, as well as more than 600 species of birds. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.

Game drive-Afternoon boat trip on Kazinga Channel
After an early breakfast, you will go for a guided early game drive in Kisenyi plains where you hopefully will see lions and other large mammals. After the morning safari, you will have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat tour on the Kazinga Channel where you will see hippo, crocodile, buffalo, elephant and a variety of other large animals that come to the river to drink. You will most likely also see an incredible variety of birds. After the boat trip, you drive back to your lodge.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Leave the park via the southern plains of Ishasha, known for tree-climbing lions. Stop to view wildlife and enjoy a picnic lunch as you travel towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. In the thick forests that blanket the hills of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, roughly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas make a home alongside rare birds and a wealth of other wildlife.

Gorilla Tracking
Early this morning, head out with park rangers to track mountain gorillas. Sit among these gentle giants, observing their interactions, listening to their distinctive grumbles, and viewing one of the planet’s most endangered creatures from an awe-inspiring, up-close perspective. Time permitting, you may go for an afternoon walk to waterfalls set amid tree ferns and orchids, or pay a visit to a nearby village and watch a dance performance by the Batwa Pygmies.

Parc National des Volcans Rwanda
Cross the border into Rwanda and settle into your private banda, or villa, perched on a hilltop with stunning views of the surrounding volcanoes and lakes. In the afternoon, meet children at a local school and watch a performance of traditional Rwandan dances.

Gorilla Tracking
On this day you will spend your tracking mountain gorillas with local guides in the forested hills of Parc National des Volcans, where National Geographic grantee Dian Fossey conducted research on gorillas for 18 years. You will have a memorable time before returning to the lodge.

Golden Monkey tracking-Transfer to Kigali
Set out into the lower, flatter reaches of the park on the lookout for golden monkeys, a distinctly colored species now considered one of the most endangered primates in Africa. After lunch at the lodge, travel to the airport in Kigali for your flights home, arriving the next day.
