Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and start the safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeests, and 30,000 zebras. The park is most spectacular between June and October, the dry period. During this time, thousands of animals, like wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx, migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River, looking for water. Lions, leopards, and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds.
Have lunch, take a late afternoon game viewing, and in the evening, drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
