Day 1

You will be picked from Maun Airport to enjoy your 4 days tour from Maun town to the Okavango Delta, a unique wetland system of rivers, crystal-clear channels, islands and lagoons that creates a safe haven for innumerable bird and wildlife species, is found. You'll stay at the Island Safari Lodge which offers comfortable accommodation nestled in a lush garden. It is well spaced out. Each room has a lovely view across the tree-lined garden towards the banks of the Thamalakane River, a cool and welcoming oasis in the heart of Maun. Shaded under a huge canopy of large trees, the lodge overlooks the river and floodplain beyond. After your lunch you will be picked for a scenic Okavango helicopter/plane flight to witness patchwork landscape of islands, plains and lagoons of the delta perfectly illustrating its raw and spectacular beauty. From above the elephant highways become visible with the white Okavango sands shimmering in the clear water. Conclude the day with dinner back at the lodge.

Day 2
Mokoro Day Trip
Mokoro Day Trip
You will be picked in the morning after breakfast for a mokoro day trip into the Okavango Delta. The Delta is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalo, and a variety of bird species, and a mokoro trip is an excellent way to see this incredible wildlife up close. The trips are guided by experienced polers who navigate the mokoro through the shallow waters and reeds. The pace is slow, allowing you to take in the breathtaking scenery and sounds of the delta, and to immerse yourself in the unique and peaceful environment. You are later served a picnic lunch and continue to investigate the delta in this famous canoe over the Delta. In addition to wildlife viewing, a mokoro trip is also an opportunity to learn about the traditional way of life in the delta and to gain an understanding of the relationship between the people and the environment. After the tour you will head back to the lodge late afternoon for a short rest before your dinner.

Moremi Game Reserve Day Trip
Moremi Game Reserve Day Trip
You will be picked early morning for the Moremi Game Reserve which is approximately 80km northeast of Maun. Once through the buffalo fence 50km into your day trip, game viewing will begin. The reserve is home to a range of habitats that take you on a journey from arid landscapes to vibrant wetlands. This is a quintessential Botswana experience that showcases the life-giving effect of the Okavango floodwaters. With this diversity of ecosystems comes an amazing array of wildlife sightings, birding and natural beauty -some of the very best in Africa. The grasslands and forested areas support huge herds of impala, tsessebe, buffalo, wildebeest, elephant and zebra. The wetland areas are home to red lechwe, waterbuck, hippo and crocodile. This abundance of prey attracts predators like lion, cheetah and wild dog. Your professional guide, using his knowledge and experience of the area will ensure that you enjoy the very best of what the reserve has to offer. Inclusive of picnic lunch.
