A trip to Materuni Waterfalls

After breakfast, you will drive from Arusha to Materuni Village, located near Moshi at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. The experience begins with a walk through the village and surrounding farmland. As you walk towards Materuni Waterfall, you will learn about the local way of life, agriculture, traditions, and the history of the area. At the waterfall, you will have time to relax by the water and we recommend bringing your swimsuit if you would like to swim.

The experience continues with a visit to a local coffee farm, where you will learn about the process of making coffee, from harvesting and drying the beans to roasting and preparing the final cup. You can also take part in the traditional preparation while enjoying songs and dances performed by members of the Chagga community. You will then enjoy a local Chagga lunch before beginning your drive back to Arusha. In the evening, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Arusha to Arusha National Park

After breakfast at your hotel, you will head to Arusha National Park for a day of exploring. The park has a variety of landscapes, including forest, open grasslands, and views of Mount Meru. You will have a guided nature walk with an experienced guide, offering a closer look at the park’s plants, wildlife, and surroundings.

Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a suitable spot within the park. In the afternoon, you will continue to the Momella Lakes, where you may see different water birds, including flamingos and herons. Later in the day, you will leave the park and return to your hotel in Arusha.
