3-Day Nyerere Game Drive, Boat and Walking Safari

From Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park and Boating Safari

You will be picked up by a guide at your hotel, airport, or ferry terminal for a safari briefing, then drive south to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve), approximately 5.5 hours from Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and begin an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River. On a boating safari, you will see aquatic animals such as hippos and crocodiles, as well as a vast number of birds, elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife drinking along the Rufiji River. You will end your day by watching a stunning sunset as you enjoy the beautiful sands of the river-flooded plains. Your overnight stay will be at Selous Mloka Safari Lodge on a full-board basis.

Guided Game Drive Viewing in Nyerere National Park (Selous)

After breakfast, you'll go on full-day game drives in Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) with packed lunch boxes. During lunchtime, you will enjoy a picnic at the site the guide selects for you. After your picnic lunch and some relaxation, you will continue with the game drive until the evening. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Mloka Safari Lodge.

Walking Safari - Nyerere National Park to Dar es Salaam

You will start the day with a morning walking safari. After the walking safari, which takes about 2.5 hours, you will return to your lodge to shower and have breakfast. After breakfast, you'll drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch boxes. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you'll be dropped off at the airport for your return flight or at the hotel/ferry to Zanzibar or Mafia Island.
