Your long dream adventure begins the moment we collect you from the airport or your Nairobi hotel. As the city gives way to the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the drive itself becomes a slow unveiling — plunging valleys, Maasai herders with their cattle, and the first hints of the golden savannah ahead.
You'll arrive at Mara SopaLodge in time for a relaxed lunch, and by afternoon you're already on your first game drive through one of the most storied wildlife reserves on Earth — home to the Big Five and some of the highest predator densities in Africa.
Photography Tip: Keep your camera on the seat beside you, not in the bag — the Mara rewards the ready. Late-afternoon light turns the grass copper gold, perfect for silhouettes of acacia trees against the sky.

Day 2

A full day to let the Mara reveal itself. Dawn and dusk game drives track lion prides at rest, cheetahs scanning the plains from termite mounds, and elephant families moving unhurriedly through the grass.
For a change of pace, join an optional walking safari along the Mara River with an armed kpsga guide — trading the vehicle for footsteps, and the horizon for the small, overlooked details of the bush:
tracks, dung beetles, the alarm call of a startled impala.
Photography Tip: For the walking safari, shoot low and wide to capture scale — a single acacia against an endless plain says more than a close-up ever could.

After a final Mara sunrise, we turn north for Nakuru — no rush, just a leisurely picnic lunch en route as farmland gives way to the Rift Valley escarpment. Check into Lake Nakuru Flamingo Hill Lux Camp by late afternoon, with the rest of the day your own: settle in, explore the lodge grounds, and unwind over a sundowner as light fades. No game drive today — a deliberate pause before an early start. Up before sunrise for Nakuru's best: a six-hour drive, 6 am to noon, through fever-tree forest and along the pink-fringed soda lake — prime ground for black and white rhino, buffalo, giraffe and, in season, dense flamingo flocks. By midday we turn south for Naivasha, lunch en route.
If you opt for a private trip, then we will have a game drive on arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park and also have another game drive on day 4 before departing for Lake Naivasha (with a shared trip, its no possible as some of the persons stay outside the park, unless all are staying inside the park).

Day 4
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha- Rhino, Flamingos & Freshwater Calm

This morning belongs to Lake Nakuru. We head out early for a game drive at the park's most active hours — tracking black and white rhino in the sanctuary, scanning the lakeshore for flamingo and pelican, and watching for leopard moving through forested slopes above the water. It's slower, more concentrated viewing than the open Mara, among Kenya's most rewarding for photography and rare-species sightings.
By late morning we depart for Lake Naivasha, Kenya's freshwater jewel ringed by acacia and volcanic cliffs, lunch en route, arriving by late afternoon. The afternoon is yours (optional): a boat ride for close encounters with hippo pods and fish eagles, a walking safari on Crescent Island among free-roaming zebra and giraffe, or time with a birding guide at one of East Africa's premier birding sites.
Photography Tip: Photograph the rhino sanctuary in the first two hours of light, when animals are most active and low sun cuts through the canopy.

Day 5

Wake to breakfast with Mount Longonot on the horizon, then into Hell's Gate — one of Kenya's only parks you can explore on foot, with nothing between you and the wildlife. Today's walk threads through towering red cliffs, obsidian lava flows and the twin volcanic towers of Fischer's and Central, past zebra, giraffe, buffalo and eland grazing the gorge floor below. A guided gorge walk is included; cycling the valley floor or climbing the sheer walls can be arranged locally for those wanting more.
By late morning we exit south for Amboseli, lunch en route as farmland gives way to dry, acacia-studded borderlands. You'll arrive at your lodge in the early evening, in time to settle in before dinner.
Photography Tip: Hell's Gate's cliffs turn deep terracotta in early light — arrive at the gorge as early as possible before the sun flattens the color.

A full day dedicated to Amboseli's signature spectacle: some of Africa's largest and best-studied elephant herds moving across open plains, with Kilimanjaro rising 5,895m above them.
Morning and afternoon game drives cover swamps, dry lake bed, and acacia woodland, with more than 400 recorded bird species alongside lion, cheetah, buffalo and — on a good day — the park's resident giraffe and zebra herds. Full-board meals and every drive are built around chasing the mountain's best light.
Photography Tip: Position the vehicle so elephants are between you and Kilimanjaro, not beside it — the mountain reads best as a backdrop, not a bystander.

One last game drive at first light, chasing whatever Amboseli has left to offer, before breakfast and the drive back to Nairobi. En route, we can arrange an optional stop at the Nairobi Giraffe Centre for a hand-feeding encounter, followed by lunch at the legendary Carnivore Restaurant — a fitting last taste of Kenya before your transfer to the airport, or on to your hotel if you're extending your stay.
Photography Tip: One last frame worth taking: the two of you, together, with the Mara or Kilimanjaro behind you. The wildlife photos will be many — this one will be the one you print.
