Arusha to Tarangire National Park
You'll drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a 4-hour drive from Kilimanjaro Airport to Tarangire. Tarangire is the third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are interested of the park; dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them.
Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife, including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. You'll enjoy half-day game drives within the park and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
Today, your safari starts in the morning, and your guide will pick you up. We will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which takes about 3.5 hours. The park offers a mosaic of vegetation habitats that can sustain a high density of wildlife. It's a groundwater forest which acts like a giant filtering sponge that gradually releases water so it can flow gently into streams, instead of running off, and prevents the soil from eroding. From its high concentrations of animals such as elephants, buffalo, and antelopes to its dense forests of Trichilia spp, Ficus spp, and Acacia spp, the park is diverse with both wildlife and vegetation.
With its location at the base of the East African Rift Valley along the Gregory rift, it offers spectacular viewing of the escarpment. Lake Manyara is one of those national parks that offers rich and diverse wildlife viewing within a reasonably small area. Later, you will be transferred to the airport.
