Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP
This morning, after enjoying an early breakfast, you'll check out of the lodge and head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, where you'll gain insight into the tragic events of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, during which 1 million Rwandans lost their lives in just 100 days. A profoundly moving experience that provides historical context and insight into Rwanda's resilience, a befitting example of rising out of the ashes.
After lunch, you'll continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Southwestern Uganda, taking in the stunning landscapes and terraced farms along the way. You'll arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world's endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 3
Up-close Gorilla Encounters in Bwindi
Up-close Gorilla Encounters in Bwindi
Start your day with a warm cup of coffee before gearing up for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife officials. Following this, you'll venture into the jungle to seek out the elusive mountain gorillas and observe their natural behaviour in their habitat. Once you encounter these magnificent creatures, you'll have the opportunity to spend an hour in their presence, marvelling at their expressive eyes.
Please note that gorilla trekking requires a fair level of fitness, so come prepared with sturdy walking shoes, packed food, mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hat. The duration of the trek can vary from half an hour to stretch well into the afternoon, depending on the gorillas' movements.
Enjoy a picnic lunch and transfer back to Kigali, with an overnight stay at the Kigali Serena Hotel.
