Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Embark on your Tarangire National Park adventure after a hearty breakfast. Your Januz Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you through scenic landscapes for approximately two and a half hours to reach the park.

Named after the life-giving Tarangire River, this park is a haven for wildlife, especially during the dry season. Witness majestic elephant herds congregating near the river, alongside graceful giraffes, agile bushbucks, and impressive hartebeests. Keep a sharp eye out for predators like lions and leopards stalking their prey. Tarangire is a birder's paradise, boasting the highest number of breeding bird species worldwide.

Admire the ancient Baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before returning to your nearby accommodation for rest and relaxation.

After a leisurely breakfast, we'll ascend into the cooler heights of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we'll have the opportunity to marvel at the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From there, we'll journey through the heart of Ngorongoro to the southern gateway of the Serengeti National Park. This iconic park is renowned for its vast, open plains, which provide unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities.

The Serengeti is synonymous with the Great Migration, a spectacular annual phenomenon where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes traverse the plains in search of greener pastures. While the migration can be witnessed year-round, knowing where to look is key to maximizing your chances of encountering this natural wonder.
