Located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the crater supports more than 120 mammal species, including the legendary Big Five. It is one of the best places to encounter the endangered black rhinoceros and to observe large pods of hippos resting in the crater’s wetlands.
Exploring the crater floor in an open-top vehicle offers exceptional opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.
