Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or pick-up from your hotel, you will meet your professional English-speaking driver-guide for a safari briefing before departing for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey covers approximately 390 km and takes 6–7 hours, passing through bustling towns, traditional villages, rolling hills, tea plantations, and scenic countryside. A lunch stop will be made en route before continuing to the park.

Arrive in the late afternoon and check in to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or enjoy an optional late afternoon game drive (at an extra cost), where you will spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, warthogs, and other wildlife.

Game Drive and a Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, the best area in the park for spotting wildlife when animals are most active. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas, and, with some luck, lions and leopards. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers, with over 600 recorded bird species.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, head to the famous Kazinga Channel for a 2-hour boat cruise. This unforgettable experience offers close-up views of one of Africa's largest concentrations of hippos, as well as Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous waterbirds gathering along the shoreline. After the cruise, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

You'll savor a leisurely breakfast, then head to Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth NP, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Next, you'll drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park's edge, check into your accommodation, and relax for the gorilla trekking adventure ahead. Optionally, consider chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth NP before the transfer to Bwindi for an extra $100, but note that permits must be secured in advance.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before setting off on your unforgettable mountain gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced guides, hike through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorillas' location. Once found, you'll spend a magical one hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

After the trek, receive your gorilla trekking certificate before departing for Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa's most beautiful lakes, known for its scenic islands and peaceful surroundings. The drive takes approximately 2–3 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing while enjoying the breathtaking views.

Day 5

Transfer to Entebbe for Departure

Transfer to Entebbe for Departure

After a relaxed breakfast overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Bunyonyi, check out and begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe International Airport. The journey covers approximately 420 km and takes 8–9 hours, passing through rolling hills, rural villages, and the beautiful countryside of southwestern and central Uganda.

Along the way, stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for lunch, souvenir shopping, and memorable photographs as you stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Continue your journey to Entebbe, arriving in time for your departure flight.

We recommend booking flights departing after 7:00 PM to allow sufficient travel time.
