Your Ugandan adventure begins with a warm and effortless welcome in Entebbe. Upon arrival, our team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your comfortable hotel, where you can unwind after your international journey.

We deliberately keep your first day free from long drives and scheduled activities. After a long flight and possible jet lag, this is your time to slow down, refresh, and settle into the rhythm of Uganda. Day 2

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your lodge and begin the journey towards Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest National Park.

Your first wildlife experience of the day will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, located along the route to Murchison Falls. Here, you will enjoy a guided rhino-tracking experience on foot, giving you the opportunity to observe Uganda’s southern white rhinos at close range. This is a special introduction to Uganda’s wildlife and your first opportunity to encounter one of Africa’s iconic Big Five.

Continue your journey towards Murchison Falls, with a lunch stop in Masindi before proceeding into the park. Once inside the park, make your way to the Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty River Nile is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically into the valley below. Continue to your lodge for check-in and a relaxing evening.

Rise early for your first full day of wildlife exploration in Murchison. After breakfast, set out on a game drive across the park’s expansive savannah plains, where the cool morning hours offer some of the best opportunities to spot wildlife.

Keep your camera ready for elephants moving across the plains, herds of buffalo, giraffes browsing among the acacias, hartebeests and, with some luck, lions resting in the grass. Your experienced guide will help you read the landscape and look for the animals that can be easy to miss.

Later, return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before your afternoon boat trip along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. This is one of the safari’s most memorable experiences, bringing you close to hippos, crocodiles and a remarkable variety of water birds.

As the day cools, head out again for an evening game drive when wildlife becomes increasingly active. Return to your lodge after sunset for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Day 4

Journey to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, bid farewell to Murchison Falls and begin your journey southwards towards Kibale National Park, Uganda’s renowned primate capital. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, from the open savannahs of northern Uganda to lush countryside, rolling hills and tropical greenery. Along the way, enjoy the opportunity to see everyday Ugandan life unfold as you pass through local communities and rural landscapes.

Continue towards the forests of Kibale, home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of primates. The anticipation begins to build as you approach the rainforest, where tomorrow you will have the opportunity to venture deep into the forest in search of wild chimpanzees.

Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening. If you who would like to experience more of Kibale on arrival, an optional Bigodi Wetland Walk can be arranged at an additional $30. Otherwise, enjoy a relaxed evening at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest with experienced trackers and guides. You'll follow forest trails beneath towering trees and listening for the calls of chimpanzees.

Kibale is renowned for its remarkable population of chimpanzees, and encountering these intelligent primates in the wild is an unforgettable experience. Along the trail, you'll also encounter other primates and a variety of birds. You'll spend 1 hour with the Chimps when you locate them.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before continuing towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and head out for an evening game drive. The changing light creates a beautiful atmosphere across the savannah, while elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and other wildlife become increasingly active. Return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and a peaceful night.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive across the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, when wildlife is most active. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, warthogs and, with luck, leopards as you explore the park with your experienced guide.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before heading to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat cruise. Cruise along the channel, renowned for its large concentration of hippos and spectacular wildlife viewing. Watch elephants, buffaloes and other animals gather along the shores, while colourful waterbirds provide excellent opportunities for birdwatching.

After the boat cruise, head back into the park for an evening game drive. As the sun begins to set, enjoy another opportunity to encounter wildlife and experience the changing atmosphere of the savannah. Return to the lodge after sunset for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, set off for the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as Ishasha, for a memorable game drive through its beautiful wilderness. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, topis, antelopes, hippos and the famous tree-climbing lions often seen resting on the branches of fig and acacia trees.

After the game drive, continue your journey through the rolling hills and lush landscapes of southwestern Uganda toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. As you approach the forest, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with mist-covered hills and terraced farmland creating a spectacular introduction to gorilla country.

Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, and enjoy a relaxing evening as you prepare for the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience the following day.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your adventure in Bwindi. Accompanied by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority guides and trackers, you'll enter deep into the forest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families.

The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas, but encountering these magnificent primates in their natural habitat is an unforgettable experience. Once you find the family, you will have a magical hour observing their behaviour, interactions and gentle nature from a respectful distance.

After the trek, return to the lodge and continue to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Drive through the spectacular landscapes of southwestern Uganda, with the Virunga volcanoes rising dramatically on the horizon.

Arrive at your lodge near Mgahinga in the evening, check in and relax.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before beginning your journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel from the volcanic highlands through Uganda's beautiful countryside.

Arrive at Lake Mburo in the late afternoon or evening and check in at your lodge. If time permit and your interested, enjoy a short evening game drive as the park comes alive with wildlife preparing for the night.
