Nairobi to Masai Mara – Scenic Drive and First Game Drive

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading southwest towards the Masai Mara. The drive takes you through the Great Rift Valley, where you'll enjoy panoramic views and scenic landscapes. Along the way, you may stop for photos or a quick break as you descend into the valley and travel through the highlands of Narok County.

By early afternoon, you arrive at your lodge or tented camp on the edge of or within the Masai Mara National Reserve. After a warm welcome and lunch, you’ll have some time to relax before setting out on your first afternoon game drive.

As you explore the rolling plains and acacia woodlands, keep your eyes open for lions lounging in the grass, elephants grazing, or cheetahs on the move. You'll likely spot zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and a variety of birdlife.

Return to your camp or lodge just before sunset, where dinner will be served.

Explore Masai Mara– Morning and Afternoon Game Drives

The second day of your safari begins at dawn with a warm beverage and light snacks before you head out on your early morning game drive. This is one of the most rewarding times for wildlife viewing, as the cool temperatures bring animals out into the open.

After a few hours of exploration, you’ll return to camp for some well-earned rest. The late morning and early afternoon can be spent at your leisure—relaxing at the lodge, or taking part in optional activities like a guided nature walk or a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village.

Later in the afternoon, once the heat of the day begins to fade, you’ll head out for your second game drive in search of more wildlife encounters. Herds of elephants, playful gazelles, and possibly even the elusive leopard may make an appearance.

As the sun sets over the savannah, return to camp for another delicious dinner and an evening spent under the stars. Share stories from the day or simply take in the peacefulness of the bush at night.

Leisurely Morning and Return to Nairobi

Your final day in the Masai Mara begins with a slow, relaxed morning. Unlike previous days, there’s no rush—allowing you to sleep in a little longer and enjoy your surroundings at a leisurely pace. A full breakfast will be served at camp, and you’ll have some time to soak in the last views of the wild before preparing for your departure.

You’ll then begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with memories of an unforgettable safari adventure.
