Continuing the journey southward, you’ll arrive at the Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp. After a bit of rest, you’ll embark on your first game drive in the late afternoon. As the golden light bathes the savannah, you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even a lion or leopard beginning its evening hunt. The day begins with an early morning game drive, when animals are most active and the air is cool and fresh. You’ll explore different areas of the reserve, tracking wildlife and enjoying the Mara’s iconic landscapes. After the morning drive, return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast followed by leisure time — relax, take in the views, or visit a nearby Maasai village (optional). In the afternoon, you’ll head out again for a second game drive. The Mara never disappoints, and with luck, you might witness a hunt or spot some of the Big Five. Dinner and overnight stay follow, with the sounds of the wilderness as your nighttime soundtrack.

Day 3

After breakfast, you’ll check out and begin the drive toward Lake Naivasha, passing through small towns and lush highland farms along the way. You’ll arrive in Naivasha by early afternoon and check into your lodge or hotel. After lunch, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you’ll glide past hippos, spot fish eagles overhead, and see a variety of aquatic birds along the lakeshore. Later, you can relax at your lodge or take a nature walk at Crescent Island Sanctuary (optional). Dinner and overnight will be spent at a lodge near the lake.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and head south toward Amboseli National Park. It’s a long but scenic drive, taking you through Nairobi and into the vast open plains of southern Kenya, with views of Mount Kilimanjaro appearing in the distance as you approach Amboseli. You’ll arrive at your lodge or camp in time for a late lunch. After settling in and a bit of rest, you’ll go on a short evening game drive in the park. Known for its large herds of elephants and iconic views of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers spectacular photo opportunities. Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Explore Amboseli
Explore Amboseli
Today is dedicated to exploring Amboseli in depth. Begin with an early morning game drive, where you’ll have the best chance of seeing Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak before clouds roll in. The park’s flat, open terrain makes for easy wildlife viewing, and you’re likely to see elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, lions, hyenas, and various antelope species. After returning to the lodge for lunch and some downtime, you’ll head out again in the afternoon for another game drive. Watch as the golden light of sunset casts a magical glow on the animals and landscapes. Return to your accommodation for dinner and your final night on safari.

After breakfast and one last early morning drive (time permitting), you’ll check out and begin the journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy the changing scenery as you leave the plains of Amboseli behind and return to the city. You’ll arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable 6-day safari across Kenya’s most iconic destinations.
