Upon arrival, you will perform clearance at the immigration. Proceed to collect your luggage and
then move outside to the area where guides await their guests. The assigned Professional
English-speaking Tour Driver-guide will receive you and we shall embark on a transfer that will
see us overnight in Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary – a successful conservation effort that was set to save
the near-extinct rhino population in Uganda.

Day 2

Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda. It’s known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks. There are game fish in the cascades of Karuma Falls, this will give you a varsity to explorer and have the best experience of the view of variety of wildlife.

Day 3

Today you will have a full packed game viewing opportunity in the park. Murchison Falls NP is
a home to different wildlife species such as; Buffalos, Jackson hartebeests, elephants, Lions,
Giraffes, leopards, Hyenas, among others. They are widely spread all over the Savannah
grasslands, grazing or hunting for prey. These make the park’s landscape so amazing for game
viewing/game driving. *To avoid the long drive back to the lodge, we can proceed to Red Chilli
and enjoy hot lunch there. After the lunch, we can move back for the second leg of our game
viewing. After a satisfying day’s encounter, we shall head back to the lodge to freshen up –
awaiting dinner and the overnight stay.

The journey from Murchison Falls National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal is a stunning drive through Uganda’s diverse landscapes, taking approximately the day depending on stops and road conditions. Departing from Murchison Falls, you pass through the Albertine Rift Valley, where savannah plains give way to lush greenery and tea plantations near Fort Portal, a perfect stop to explore crater lakes or even Kibale Forest. Continuing towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, the scenic route passes Kasese Town, offering breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountains before transitioning into vast savannahs teeming with wildlife. Along the way, travelers can experience changing ecosystems, enjoy cultural interactions, and anticipate exciting game drives upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park.

A game drive at Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kazinga Channel is a breathtaking experience, offering a front-row seat to Uganda’s rich wildlife. As you traverse the well-maintained tracks, you’ll witness elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes roaming freely in their natural habitat. The Kazinga Channel itself is a hub of activity, with yawning hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of water birds creating a dynamic ecosystem. The best time for a game drive is in the morning or late afternoon when animals are most active. Whether you’re spotting lions in the Kasenyi plains or marveling at the serene waters of the channel, every moment is a testament to the park’s incredible biodiversity.

Day 6

Be up early and have your breakfast. Proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and
be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus lions, leopards (though hard to spot)
among others. Return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will
go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward.
During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among
others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. *After the
boat trip, you can decide either to return to the lodge to rest or first proceed for a brief late
afternoon game drive and thereafter, return to the lodge.

The Batwa community in Buhoma, located near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, offers a fascinating glimpse into the traditions of one of Uganda’s indigenous groups. Originally forest dwellers, the Batwa lived in harmony with nature, relying on hunting, gathering, and herbal medicine for survival. Today, they share their rich cultural heritage through immersive experiences, including storytelling, traditional dances, and demonstrations of ancient survival skills. Visitors can join guided forest walks led by Batwa elders, who recount their history and showcase their deep knowledge of the land. Despite challenges following their displacement from the forest, the Batwa continue to preserve their identity and educate others about their way of life.

Day 8

Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger-
guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for
your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply
forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing
access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great
primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence.
The time with these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return from the forest, board
the car and embark on transfer that will see you have an overnight stay closer to Lake Mburo NP
(located conveniently along the highway that connects Kampala/Entebbe to Western Uganda).

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence
of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. On this early morning guided walk, you
will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and
other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others.
Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point,
you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo national park.
