Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our driver-guide will be there to pick you up and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have a chance for a brief city tour or relaxation at your lodge. Enjoy the scenic views and unwind before your safari adventure begins.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Travel distance: Approximately 2 to 3 hours' drive (120 km)

After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park. Known for its massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers an excellent opportunity to spot wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and lions. You will spend the afternoon on a game drive. Return to Manyara Safari Lodge for an overnight stay.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Travel distance: Approximately 4 to 5 hours' drive (250 km)

After breakfast, you will head out to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, renowned for its vast plains, diverse wildlife, and the great migration (if your visit coincides with it). On arrival, you will enjoy a game drive in the park. Transfer to Mgunga Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park

You will spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives.

The Serengeti is home to the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino), and your safari guide will take you to areas with the best chances of spotting these magnificent creatures. If you're visiting during the great migration (typically from June to October), you may witness wildebeest and zebra herds crossing the Mara River or migrating across the plains. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, or return to the lodge for a leisurely meal. End the day with a sunset game drive before returning to your lodge for the night.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart the Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. On arrival, you’ll descend into the crater for a game drive. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to a dense concentration of wildlife. You can expect to see elephants, lions, buffalo, flamingos, and possibly even the elusive rhino. Spend the day exploring the crater before heading back to your lodge.

Departure
