Straddling the equator, Lake Nakuru is world-famous for its striking alkaline waters and spectacular birdlife, particularly its vast flocks of flamingos that often create a vivid pink shoreline.
In addition to its birdlife, the park is an important rhino sanctuary, home to more than 40 black rhinos and over 60 white rhinos, making it one of the best places in Kenya to see these endangered species. Other wildlife commonly seen includes giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a variety of predators.

Cheetahs are frequently encountered on the open plains and are sometimes seen resting in the shade near safari vehicles during the heat of the day. For bird enthusiasts, the Masai Mara is equally rewarding, with nearly 500 recorded bird species, including numerous eagles, hawks, and falcons; several species of vultures and storks; impressive bustards such as the kori bustard—the world’s heaviest flying bird—and a variety of colorful sunbirds.

Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
The legendary Serengeti National Park is world-famous as the stage of the Great Migration. Your journey into the park is a safari experience in itself, as you ascend through the Ngorongoro Highlands and pause at the crater rim before the vast Serengeti plains unfold before you. The name Serengeti comes from the Kiswahili word meaning “endless plains,” an apt description of this immense ecosystem.
Covering approximately 18,000 square kilometers, the Serengeti supports more than two million large mammals, including vast herds of wildebeest, plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. These numbers attract powerful predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The park is also home to a wide variety of smaller mammals and nearly 500 bird species, making every game drive rich and diverse.
On the second day, after breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti, with both morning and afternoon safaris to explore different areas of the park and maximize wildlife sightings.
