Magical Kalk Bay as Voted the World's Coolest Neighbourhood by Forbes
Kalk Bay, voted the "coolest neighborhood in the world" a few years ago, is my hometown. It is the perfect place to finish your South African safari! This quiet and colorful seaside fishing village is only a 30-minute drive from Cape Town city center, making it hard to believe you are in one of South Africa's largest cities when visiting Kalk Bay.
Kalk Bay is renowned for its antique shops, excellent restaurants, and the most famous fish and chip shop in the region!
Everything you need is within a 3-minute walk from your guest house. There are several tidal pools, safe coastal walks, cave trails in the mountains, surfing lessons at Muizenberg Beach, snorkeling with seals and penguins, great white shark cage diving, and whale and dolphin watching in season (June to December). You can also fish off the harbor wall and enjoy many more activities. St James Tidal Pool is famous for its colorful Victorian changing rooms.
I will take you on a coastal walk and a delicious seafood lunch.
