Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a Big Time Adventures representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha (approx. 1–1.5 hours). Along the way, enjoy views of local villages and, on clear days, the slopes of Mount Meru. On arrival at your lodge, check in and unwind in the peaceful surroundings. Take time to relax after your journey before gathering in the evening for a welcome briefing with your guide. Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by an overnight stay as you prepare for the safari ahead.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart from Arusha for Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5–3 hours). Pass through Maasai plains before entering a scenic landscape of baobab trees, open savannah, and the Tarangire River. Enjoy a game drive spotting large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, and predators such as lions, while birdwatchers can admire the park’s colorful species. Stop for a hot lunch at Tarangire Safari Lodge before continuing your afternoon drive. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu and settle into your public campsite for dinner and overnight near the Ngorongoro highlands.

Day 3

Central Serengeti

Central Serengeti

Kick off the day with an early breakfast before departing Mto wa Mbu for a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park (approx. 4–5 hours, 200 km). Along the way, admire crater highlands, open plains, and Maasai villages. Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy a game drive across golden savannahs and acacia-dotted plains in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and, if lucky, cheetahs or leopards. Depending on the season, witness part of the Great Migration. In the late afternoon, check in to your public campsite for dinner and a night under the starlit Serengeti sky.
