After crossing the border, you’ll receive a detailed briefing before setting off on an exciting golden monkey trekking experience. This approximately 5-hour hike takes you through lush bamboo forests at the base of the majestic Virunga Volcanoes, offering breathtaking views and unforgettable encounters as you observe the playful golden monkeys leaping through the trees and foraging for food.
After your golden monkey trekking adventure, you’ll continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to prepare for your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience the following day. In the evening, enjoy a cultural visit to the Batwa community, where you’ll learn about their traditional way of life and their deep connection to the forest.

The highlight of your safari experience awaits! You'll begin your day with an early breakfast before making your way to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. By 8:30 AM, you’ll embark on your journey into the lush forest, accompanied by your guide and expert trackers, in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is worth it—an unforgettable hour spent observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.
After the trek, you'll enjoy a delicious packed lunch, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. As the day winds down, you'll take in the breathtaking scenery on a sunset boat cruise across the lake, with stunning views of the surrounding islands and hills. It's the perfect way to reflect on the day's adventure and unwind in nature's tranquility.

Afterward, you'll embark on a peaceful canoe trek on Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda's most beautiful and serene lakes. As you glide through its calm waters, you'll be surrounded by lush hills and small islands, providing a tranquil and scenic experience. Following the trek, you'll be transferred to Kigali via the Katuna border, enjoying stunning views of the countryside along the way as you cross into Rwanda, setting the stage for your next adventure.
